Lovely Jamaica is simply a blog committed to showing the hidden beauty behind our lovely island called Jamaica. 

Jamaica is a culturally rich country with unique elements that add to the already beautiful country therefore our goal here at Lovely Jamaica is to showcase that beauty and culture with the use of premium quality photographs or artistic videos. We do not claim the rights to the photos seen here on Lovely Jamaica as 99% of them were taken by either tourists, Facebook albums, Afflicted Yard, Google searches, Deviant Art Albums, Flickr pages or already popular Jamaican photographers like Brian Rose or Ryan Lue-Clarke. We continue to thank these photographers as without them this blog would not be what it is today. 

History

It all began in March 2010 when we realized that no blog on the popular site tumblr was dedicated to showcasing Jamaican photographs, the name was not Lovely Jamaica at the time but rather something a little more inappropriate for the purpose but for the people who have been our faithful fans and followers from the beginning we shall keep that as our little secret. 

Statistics

From the start the reception towards the blog has been great especially from tourists and Jamaicans who currently live abroad. It is always a pleasure receiving messages about how much this blog reminds your of the simple pleasures of home with that said the reception has been great as within the past two months we have had almost 30,000 page visits with almost 1,000 avid followers on Tumblr who are constantly re-blogging or clicking that heart beside our posts.
